The purpose of the Alumni Association shall be to assist and encourage the advancement of material prosperity, academic progress, and extracurricular growth at McNeese State University by reconnecting graduates with their alma mater in ways that encourage their financial and personal support of the university and its mission.
Membership: The association offers membership to all graduates of McNeese State University. Alumni can join the association by paying an annual membership fee, which helps support alumni programs and scholarships.

Provide innovative programs and services that strengthen alumni ties and encourage lifelong support of McNeese State University.
McNeese was founded in 1939 and although graduates remained involved with their alma mater, the Alumni Association was not founded until 1947 due to World War II. As the school grew, so did the number of graduates, and they formally incorporated the Alumni Association in 1960. However, it was not until the fall of 1970 that the first full-time alumni director was hired. Billy Frank Gossett served as director from 1970-1983, during which time he was instrumental in building the William Gray Stream Alumni Center.
The Alumni Center, located at 600 E. McNeese Street, houses the alumni offices, a large meeting/conference room, a board meeting room, and a commercial kitchen. Over two hundred and fifty university events are held there each year.
Since 1939, the University has issued degrees to more than 40,000 alumni and we currently mail newsletters to over 23,000 households throughout the United States. It is our hope that this website will allow our graduates to maintain community connection with their alma mater and with their fellow alumni.
