In 2002, the McNeese Mavericks club was established under the auspices of the Alumni Board of Directors to help support the university and the alumni association.
Membership is limited to 25, of which no more than one-third can be non-alumni. They meet bi-monthly, assist at alumni events and host social events.
A Maverick is someone who…
- Takes pride in and represents McNeese State University and the Alumni Association in the community.
- Possesses a willingness to share their talents and have fun while involved in association and community events.
- Shares thoughts and ideas and implements new programs throughout our community.
- Accepts praise and thanks, from the university and the alumni association, as a form of compensation for their dedication and support
This group of dedicated volunteers is essential to the continued success of the alumni association.
