The Annual Fund consists of gifts from Alumni and friends that have a direct and immediate impact on the quality of a McNeese education. These funds when given to the Alumni Association, allow us to react quickly to the needs of the students, faculty, and staff. This is critical in maintaining the tradition of excellence that we have come to expect from McNeese. As the quality and reputation of a McNeese education increases, so does the value of a McNeese degree.
The Annual Fund provides operating resources for all areas of the university. It also enhances the ability of the university to seek and obtain outside funding, as many grants and corporate contributions made to institutions of higher education are based upon the annual fund participation rate by alumni. The Alumni Annual Fund combines gifts from many graduates so that each and every gift becomes important. No matter the size, your gift can make a difference.
The Alumni Association conducts the annual direct mail campaign beginning the end of July and running throughout the fall. For those who did not have a chance to give during the fall, a phonathon is held in January and February. A portion of the proceeds from the annual fund help to subsidize the various alumni programs listed on our website. Many of our graduates work with their businesses to provide our donors with discounts.
