Show your Cowboy Pride while contributing to McNeese State University scholarships when you purchase the official McNeese license plate. The cost of the plate is $102 in addition to your regular vehicle registration fee (charged every two years ) and $100 from each plate will go directly to support McNeese State University students. To order your plate:
- Ask for the McNeese State University license plate when you purchase your new automobile. Your automobile dealer can assist you at the time of purchase. This is a “prestige” plate and does not use the “specialty or personalized” license form.
- Or exchange your existing plate for a MSU plate, you will be given credit for your existing unexpired registration. Call the Department of Motor Vehicles at (225) 925-6371 or go to www.expresslane.org, then “Special Plate Inquiry” to determine the cost of your new McNeese plate. And then send a written request to the DMV, P.O. Box 64886, Baton Rouge, LA 70896-4866, for your McNeese plate. Note in your request that McNeese State University is the benefiting university. Include a photocopy of your certificate of registration and a check made payable to the Department of Motor Vehicles for the amount determined in step 2.
- Or visit the Lake Charles DMV Office, to get your McNeese license plate. McNeese plates are available at some, but not all, of the local DMV offices. Please call (225) 925-6371 to find out if the McNeese plate is available at your local DMV office. All Louisiana residents may purchase a McNeese State University prestige plate.
Remember, $100 of the $102 fee benefits the McNeese Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
